Back with some more Bershka, exploring the streets of D.C. So much to do wandering the streets of the city. The past week has been spent in mindful debate over a new direction in my working carrier. When you come to a crux in life, it can be difficult to be confident that, (within the rush of emotions and opportunities) the decision you make will be the best one. But more than right or wrong, it’s most important that when you do make the choice, you stick to it with guns blazing. Playing with contrast. Two things contradicting each other, yet existing side by side can be a truly beautiful thing. They say opposites attract. While I can’t always agree with that, there is something to be said for differences making everything a bit more interesting. Without one side, how could you truly appreciate the other? Returned from Columbus after a week of trend work for fall 2016, and finally ready to cozy down into my own home for the next several days.Currently catching up on emails and inspirations. The soft rain piddling outside my windows is adding to the nostalgia… thick blankets, hot tea, and not a place to go or thing to do. It feels so good to be home. Worlds colliding this week with preparation for FFaNY and WWDMagic, in addition to having family in town for the next couple of days. Yet again, finding myself wishing there were a few extra hours in each day, but then – that’s better than wishing them away. The past few months have brought with them many changes, and I find my heart to be as restless as the world around me. On the brink of a breakthrough, or on the edge of devastation – some part of me finds pleasure in the conflict. It’s like being a speck caught in a whirlwind – and as unsettling as that might sound, the adrenaline rush is totally worth the ride.
