the science of beauty with Immunocologie

Ever wish you could tap into and hack the chemistry of your skin? With insight into your skin’s biology, you would have the power to address your skin’s needs before they happen – preventing irritation, pollution, dryness and sensitivities. Well, Immunocologie is attempting to do just that. With over 10 years of research and development, their skincare team has worked to develop a line of skincare products with science at the forefront. Working with natural ingredients to provide defense from environmental stressors, Immunocologie prevents skin damage by nourishing your skin with the essential minerals and nutrients it needs to stay healthy, happy and protected. I have pretty sensitive skin, and I understand the side affects involved with placing unnatural elements in or on your body. My first attraction to Immunocologie began with the ingredient list. I’m pretty careful what I put on my skin, and if there’s a natural or home remedy – I’m likely to give it a try before resorting to packaged goods. photography:KRISTINA PETRICK | camera:CANNON 5D MARK III | skincare regime …

DIY turmeric mask home remedy for anti-aging, skin sensitivities, and fading dark spots

For all of you with sensitive skin, redness acne or just people who want to maintain a young, healthy skin glow – here’s a lifestyle blog DIY recipe for a turmeric face mask that’s a natural method for skin SOS. True story: I was cleaning out my sample drawer. You know, the one stocked courtesy of Sephora… holding tiny viles of perfumes you’ll never wear and cremes for every inch of your body possibly imaginable. Amongst those, stood out a completely empty purple vile of cleansing oil. I had kept it intending to order the full size, but apparently it had gotten lost along the way. And yes you’ve guessed correctly, it was from NUDE! Love them because their formulas are all-natural, and …

rough on the edges

Studies say it takes us only 7 seconds to generate our initial opinion of another person. 7 seconds! Think about that for a minute. That individual standing across from you has spend years learning and growing, seeing the world from completely different eyes. They have seen loss, and overcome challenges. They have had victories, and lost battles. They have lived stories that no other person in this world could tell. And yet, we are so confident in ourselves, that we have the audacity to sum them up in the same amount of time it takes to inhale a gulp of coffee? My word – we are truly pretentious creatures. And let’s not forget that we’re not the only ones judging. Rest assured that your onlookers are developing those same opinions about you! And while those impressions are all but completely out of your control, it is your choice to let those 7 seconds define you, or to live the life you’ve created for yourself. The method to my madness: embrace the inner beauty of yourself, and …
