Anything worth doing, is worth doing well. And from my perspective, that includes every aspect of life. I’m not being boushy, nor do I prioritize fineness over life’s greatest treasures such as love, kindness and forgiveness. However – living to the fullest can be fun. And there’s nothing wrong with living a little luxe and lavish as long as you don’t loose sight of eternal treasures in the process.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through the ample opportunities that have come along with managing a travel, lifestyle and fashion blog – it’s to truly value purchases before you make them. Being completely candid, part of blogging is receiving countless items from partners and collaborators or brands hopeful of features. In the process, I have learned to not only select my partners carefully for my ideal style and the highest quality, but to also to make my additional purchases through the same set of high standards. By following that practice, we can all enjoy a little bit of luxury with the right priorities and standards. Don’t buy 10 camis you found on sale at Target. Buy one that will last you for years to come. Don’t buy a print because you need something to put on your wall. Wait until you can afford the artistic masterpiece that truly fits the space and inspires you on the daily.
Living luxe and lavish doesn’t mean having it all, it means truly appreciating and valuing each addition to your lifestyle.
Whether that’s material items, travel or a lesson learned – cherish those things that you have been given, and make well-thought additions that you’re confident will add something beautiful to your life.
In spirit of living lavish from your wardrobe, I introduce to you Lavish Alice. Contrary to what you may think, they aren’t what I would consider a luxury brand (with price tags crippling to the heart). They are an intermediary between attainable fashion and luxury lifestyle. Their pieces have a unique, modern minimalist style for daytime or evening wear. This is one of my favorite looks from their collection.
The monochrome look is far from ordinary. With a T that looks strikingly average from the front, the backless two-tie design in the back is an unexpected surprise. The skirt plays off of the lace up trend still big for this winter and moving towards spring. With two slits on either side, it’s long enough for office but sexy enough for evening out. The boots are perspex, need I say more? I’ve paired it with one of my favorite pebbled leather handbags and a small edgy clutch from Revolt Design.
The clutch is also crafted from a high-quality pebbled leather with a matching tassel detail. The white geometrical embellishments add a layer of interest and texture for a futuristic, minimalist design. Revolt Design is fairly new to the market, offering a capsule collection of unique handbags and accessories. I’m also wearing a pair of their lucite and metal cuffs as a strong, modern statement.
Lavish Alice is a collection of contemporary, minimal and modern designs. Inspired by the runway, their ready to wear styles have been styled on leading ladies like besties Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. What I like most about the brand, they’re different. In a good way. And their everyday couture approach makes their pieces modern art while still being perfectly wearable. More from them to come. In the mean time, here are a few more of my favorites from the collection if you’re in the mood to browse or shop! Here’s to living luxe and lavish.

I’ve been focusing on buying pieces that are timeless and have more of a utilitarian appeal than buying into fad items. Living in a small east village apartment in NYC has a lot to do with this mindset. I don’t have the space for the extras. I have a pair of layered culottes from Lavish Alice that always gets people’s attention. I love their design aesthetic and affordability.
