My experience at Ashley Grace Bridal

My nerves were raw. Excitement combined with a nervous anxiousness – Is this really happening? My first step of wedding preparations already begun? Would I find the right dress? What should I even expect?

I walked into the doors off Forest road, Lynchburg VA, quickly greeted by Ashley Grace Bridal’s staff. “I’m Kristina, I’m here to find my dress.” They had been expecting me, and led me through rows of beautiful gowns to an elegant private room already prepared for dressing.

A waffle robe embroidered “Bride” hung neatly in clear view by the full-length mirrors. We set down our things in the cozy lounge area, a couch and a few chairs set with marble tables – just the right space for myself and my parents who I had brought with for moral support of my wedding dress journey. I felt my nerves settle a bit in the calming space.

“We’ve already pulled a few of your favorites from your last visit, are you ready to go look at dresses?” A reminder of the few gowns I had already loved hung by the changing area kickstarted the excitement once again.

“Let’s do it!” Instantly I was surrounded by row after row of beautiful gowns. Minimal and chic chiffons, princess cut ball-room gowns, bohemian laces, the whole assortment one could imagine.

Working with the team at Ashley Grace bridal literally made the experience what it was. Each and every person not only knew so much about the gowns, but also shared in my nervous excitement to find the perfect dress. I didn’t feel rushed, and they paid attention to create a unique, personal experience.

The store is bright, organized, and has a wide assortment of wedding dresses

The store itself was immaculate, with soft white lighting and a wide assortment of wedding dresses. I love that they were arranged by style (simple and elegant, princess cut, materials, etc.). It made it possible to focus on the look I was imagining without becoming overwhelmed by everything in the store.

New dresses arrive frequently

I made a couple visits to Ashley Grace bridal before finalizing on my gown, and they had fresh inventory each time. The staff was happy to show me just what was new, so I could have a fresh assortment to view on each visit.

It’s not just a shop, it’s an experience

With beautiful private fitting rooms and permission to bring charcuterie and loved ones, you have the opportunity to make shopping for a wedding dress in Lynchburg VA a true experience, not just a shopping trip. With my parents by my side and some snacks for my nerves, there was time to sit and enjoy the processes, soaking it all in rather than feeling rushed out the door.
