Anyone else have the itch for a vacation now that some travel bans are finally lifting? I know I’ve got a couple on the books, and I must say, it feels good to be thinking about the beach again. In the spirit of the new season, I’ve partnered with Henry Life to bring you some tips for traveling to Cancun. If you recall, I visited the sandy beaches myself just a few years back, and enjoyed a 7-day stay in Cancun with a group of friends sipping Pina coladas and digging toes in the sand. If you’re planning a trip in 2020 (or just day dreaming of your next vacation) here are a few essential tips for your next adventure.
Cancun is a charming city of Mexico with three distinct faces and is known for its vacation resorts, and an open-air museum is showcasing ruined temples of the Mayans. This Mexican resort city is situated on the Yucatan Peninsula. In this post, we’ll be digging into some of the essentials from Henry Life’s Travel Guide for Cancun 2020.
Visit Isla Mujeres or Cozumel
Isla Mujeres is a lovely, peaceful paradise right over the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) from Cancun, Mexico. Isla Mujeres is more laid-back and tranquil than Cancun, yet that doesn’t mean there isn’t a bounty to do. It just means you can do nothing or fill your day with water sports, shopping, investigating, and making new companions in that unique atmosphere that is Isla Mujeres.
Known for excellent white sand beaches, quiet clear turquoise waters, and the most amicable local people in the Mexican Caribbean. Isla’s diversity, from the angler, artists, and performers to jumpers, chefs, and ex-taps, makes up a community, not like some others. With the excellence of the Caribbean, the Mayans’ legacy, and the nice appeal of the individuals, Isla Mujeres has become an asylum for individuals from everywhere throughout the world.
Akumal
If you like sea creatures like giant sea turtles, then Akumal is the best place to visit. Perfect for scuba divers and snorkelers, Akumal beach offers a wide range of fish’s life and vibrant coral beds. Akumal is a quiet community between Playa del Carmen and Tulum on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. In the core of the Riviera Maya only 37 km from Playa del Carmen and only one hour south of Cancun, Akumal is probably the best spot to visit in the Mexican Caribbean for its extraordinary variety of beautiful beaches and vacationer services.
Akumal in the Mayan language signifies “Land of turtles” It is as yet one of the most loved places for these marine animals to bring forth. In any case, what makes Akumal charming and captivating for tourists from around the globe, is its grand bay with clear waters and underground rivers. Akumal is one of the most peaceful places in the Riviera Maya: one protected shallow bay with a segregated seashore and a close-by reef.
Cenotes for Snorkeling
Cenotes are sinkholes filled with water and also have a wide range of animals. Azul is one of the popular Cenotes in Cancun. If you want to experience nature, then this is the right place to visit. Another Cenote is the Garden of Eden, which is also known as Jardin del Eden. It is around 18 minutes drive from Playa Del Carmen. Gran Cenote is also a well-known Cenote in Cancun which is the largest one in the city.
Also, you should never miss a chance to visit Playa Del Carmen’s 5th Avenue for nightlife and restaurants and Mayan Ruins – Chichen Itza.
