ever heard of glamping?

what is glamping

I hadn’t either until they reached out asking if I’d be willing to test drive the program. And who could resist something named somewhere between glam and camping? When I travel, there are a few things which always top my priority list: good food, warm air, an incredible view, a taste of the local culture, bottles of champaign, moments of peace, and of course – a luxurious experience from room to expeditions.

“When you’re glamping, there’s no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, no fire to build. Whether in a tent, yurt, airstream, pod, igloo, hut, villa, cabin, cube, teepee or treehouse, glamping is a way to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing luxury.” – Glamping

You had me at cabin and luxury. With destinations across the globe, Glamping is the evolution of travel where technology can connect people and experiences from all over the world.

With the wonderfully chaotic lifestyle of a Creative Director by day and fashion blogger by night, one needs to spend a certain amount of time away. And whether that means a staycation or globetrotting, the balance of adventure and ultimate relaxation is a must. That’s why I was thrilled to be invited to do a Glamping review of a two-night stay experience in northern Virginia, just a couple of hours away from home. Even better, Glamping with Pets is allowing me to bring my furry sidekick along for the ride.

Some benefits of Glamping vacations and staycations

  • Benefits of camping with a more comfortable living experience
  • Unique, one-of-a-kind accommodations for a memorable vacation
  • Incredible backdrops and views based on location
  • Great prices for a luxury experience stay
  • You can bring your pets to select, pet-friendly properties
  • Access to countless locations tucked away all over the world
  • Easy interface with reservation booking online

And now, presenting my future destination…

glamping destination

Welcome to the luxurious, pet-friendly cottage with long range mountain views near Blue Ridge Parkway. Here, we’ll be able to enjoy a luxurious staycation in a full-size cottage rather than staying in a hotel.

“This property is nestled in its own private haven, meaning guests can enjoy plenty of privacy while still being close to a wide range of exciting sights.” – Glamping

The Glamping selections are full of character, making your in-cabin experience something to savor. For each property, you’re provided a slideshow of images capturing each part of the rental. Renting participants provide a brief description of the location, setting and facilities. I love the full-experience approach of Glamping, giving you more than just the location to review and make your selection from.

Key property info provided by Glamping:

  • Type of rental (cottage, pod, luxury villa, etc.)
  • Guest capacity
  • Pet friendly status
  • Accommodations and amenities (like grill, coffee maker, hot tub, etc.)
  • Facilities (like decks, parking, etc.)
  • Nearby activities (one of my favorite features)
  • Visitor reviews

Saving the details on my luxury cabin getaway for a travel blogger review after the stay. Stay tuned for the upcoming post with details on the property, experience, local wineries and more! Thank you to Glamping in advance for the opportunity to review their services in person, and for an excuse to spend the weekend in travel.

UPDATE: The review post of my glamping experience is now live, be sure to check it out!
