One of the biggest challenges in fashion blogging has been finding just the right place to shoot. I do not reside along side a European cobblestone pathway, nor do I have the sandy beaches and palms of CA with crashing salt waves in my backyard (or even remotely nearby). Virginia is home. And blogging doesn’t bring home the bacon (I do love bacon). I work 8:00-6:00+ at my big girl job. So a typical shoot involves me dashing out the door scrambling to find a blank wall before the last light has disappeared (thank you summer sun, you’ve been the best).
To discover this solitude place of cold symmetry – I was in stone heaven.
Wearing my newest pair of jeggings from Denimocracy paired with a Mango oversized shirt. This was from my first order with Mango, and I must say, I like it a lot. The shoot itself was a multi-tasker. These photos will also be used to promote our new shoe line AXXIOM. Focused on budget friendly comfort presented in a simple way – this brand is proving to be a great match for my summer wardrobe.

Working as a stylist for our brands has always been one of my favorite tasks, as well as one of my biggest challenges. Our brands all tell very different stories. Luckily for me, the AXXIOM story is very similar to my own. Simple. Clean. Comfortable. The prep work for this shoot was a breeze.

i enjoyed reading your writing! and great outfit :) very minimal. I definitely know you mean by it’s hard to find a place.. i struggle with that every week haha.
please also check out my outfit? :) http://thatfirsthello.com/2015/05/18/supergirl-her-suspenders-pt-ii/
thank you friend, and yes – why can’t we all just have a mansion with a studio already?? ;)
I love your outfit! It’s simple but very chic. Also the location is incredible, it takes a good eye to make a solid grey background work for a fashion shoot! Great job!

I have no idea what Virginia is like, but the photos are really nice, so who needs palm trees anyway? :)

Haha I never thought about it before but now that you mention it, Europe does provide some pretty scenic backgrounds for blogging. I live in Copenhagen but if I lived in my home town in California my blog would look a whoooole lot different!

thanks Samuel! hope you enjoyed your weekend… they always go by too fast…
They certainly do! It was quiet but good thank you. How about yours? xx
well… it was busy, but finally feeling like I’ve been able to catch up on a few things. which is an incredible feeling. life is too busy – need time to enjoy some moments as well! I’ve been hoping you’d get a photographer soon so you can keep posting =) I clicked on the links for the suit you wore in the last post and couldn’t believe how low their prices were… you make it look like a thousand bucks!
Oh tell me about it! The flat is taking up so much time at the moment and work is horrific. I hopefully can get one too. Hopefully tomorrow!
That suit was actually really well made for the price. I guess it’s how you wear it!
I agree with you about us finding a place to do the shoot:). I leaned it, was too much of choice when you in a big city, I sometimes, just needs to get it done quick. I guess is no more for me as I moved back to small town girl again. Love your simply city chic K. I’m back!
Hope all is good!
