There’s hardly a moment in life that goes by without the slightest mix of emotions. I know I ordered chocolate ice cream, but that black cherry swirl is looking pretty good… I do like these shoes, I’m just wondering if I should have worn flats… all white, or black bag… yeah I do feel like going out tonight, but Netflix and chill is sounding pretty alright as well… you get the drift. When there are so many beautiful futures in our horizon, it’s sometimes difficult to choose the “right” path. (and yes, I’m assuming all futures are beautiful at this point). As my brother has said, “In my life, every day is a holiday, and every meal is a feast.” I’m a pretty indecisive person by nature. This was not one of those days. Snowed in on the east coast, and loving every moment of it. These moments of ordinary life are ones you can appreciate all of the simple things in life… namely a hot salt bath and a bottle of red wine #bringonthesnow Being house-bound also means I’ll be spending another week working from home, and saving NYC for the first week of Feb. Just ordered my home office supplies (goodbye bank account) – at least I’ll be graduating from the kitchen table soon. Will be sure to share photos as soon as it’s up. Planning to swap around arrangements every couple of weeks or so to keep the setting fresh. Getting things organized has also prompted cleaning out the closet (yet again) and getting back to basics. I’ve been living in skinnies and knits this week. Any other minimalists out there adding beige to their monochrome wardrobe? Christmas past, my gaze is now set to my favorite day of the year – New Years Day. A feeling of old burdens shedding off like dust blowing into the wind, it’s time for another re-birth, and the change has already begun. Beginning the first week of January, I will be transitioning into my new role in creative content for a marketing agency in NYC. I wait on the days with baited breath, and these moments between hardly feel like reality. Embracing the best of both worlds, I’ll be spending half of my time in the city, and have the privilege of working from the comfort of home alternate weeks. Choosing to take some time off between positions, I’ll be spending the week setting up a home office and streamlining my travel essentials.
