something silk

Summer’s long gone and the craving for cozy has already started to set in. Chili has been on the menu twice this week, and evenings become a race to get home before dark. The moon that used to look friendly and cool has darkened to a cold foreboding stare. In search for the little comforts in life, we find ourselves groping for anything that has brought us relief in years past. Thick socks, riding boots, and dare I say… pumpkin spice latte. Yup… it’s happening. But not all the days a icy and unwelcoming. The east coast has still gifted us with a few days of lingering sun, and the moments between the contrast call for one solution – silk. photography:KUNDAN KUMAR | camera:CANNON 5D MARK III | grey silk cami c/o:GRANA | grey silk coordi joggers c/o:GRANA | grey cashmere cardigan c/o:GRANA | swan ring c/o:AURUM JEWELRY | cross diamond ring c/o:SQUAREGAL | grey marble bag c/o:CAFUNE | loafers c/o:NAKED FEET Silk has a way of caressing the skin and creating a sense of warmth and …

barely blushing

Days are getting longer and the earth is beginning to tease with expressions of spring. I’ve spotted a few early adopters in form of budding branches this week. Those cheeky devils. Not quite the time to change out wardrobes yet, but it’s enough to give a girl the itch. I’ve been on the same pace as the buds, pushing my limits and reaching for the lighter half hanging in my closet in shades of whites, nudes, blush, and greys. If you’re with me on the coordi set crush prepare to fall in love. This 2 piece set from lamoda101 is my pre-spring satisfaction in barely blush and piping trim. Work from home alternate weeks has allowed me to express more of my more casual side (read lounge wear) that is comfort creating and excursion acceptable when paired with the right accessories. The trick to pulling off monochrome coordi sets is definitely in the details. The interest of some contrasting pieces and pumps has the power to transform basic essential into daytime chic. Namely sexy silver …

knit on knit

Casual girls are confident (or just lazy) one of those – I’ll choose to side with the prior. Knit everything blew up the runways and ready to wear – in unconventional forms of knit sets and knit dresses, and it’s no wonder. Women want to feel good in what they’re wearing. And not just because they know they’re a babe. Literally. We want to feel good. And there aren’t many things in life that feel as good as thick knits across your skin and nothing else. This knit set is no exception. Lamoda101, you make me want to lounge so hard, because it’s just so soft. Nothing is as good as life’s simple pleasures, and this year has been an allowance in excess of such guilty luxuries. And why shouldn’t it be. With all life throws at us on a day to day basis, if something simple as cozying down dressed in knits and indulging in whole-milk lattes puts a smile on your face – it’s worth it. And while you’re at it, double that …

double knit set

Currently in NYC writing from the bed of my Airbnb – just finished the most amazing salmon dinner and draft IPA, reaching for blankets and anything cozy within reach. And what could be more cozy than one of my favorite trends this season, which is all things knit – namely the more untraditional pieces like double knit sets, knit dresses, knit pants (you get the idea). Effortlessly chic, and comfy as sweats, what’s not to love. So as you can imagine, this set from StyleWe is heaven for me. I actually wore the bottom half to an NYC Fashion Week cocktail party, paired with a variant knit sleeveless crop. It ended up being the perfect combo for the night (good thing since I spent 2 hours picking it out) Shooting myself for not getting photos! Which reminds me, have any of you seen this Instagram Husbands video? Some blogger friends played it for me over the weekend and I was literally dying in fits of laughter. I shared it with my boyfriend and he was less than …
