because some days, we don’t want to wear pants

Rain drizzles incessantly just on the other side of the bedroom window. Don’t care. Don’t want to. Wore them yesterday… there are truly ample enough reasons not to wear pants. There is a level of comfort that abhors anything too tight or pulling across the skin. A desire for liberation, freedom, comfort…

But before you shock your neighbors away with a drastic lifestyle change, it’s time to consider other solutions. Introducing microsuede shorts by David Lerner. By now, you know I’m a huge supporter of the brand, a company bringing superior, attainable luxury fashion to a needed space in the fashion market. They invest in supple materials and well crafted designs. One of the more exciting materials of the season – micro suede. I tested out the material in form of shorts in black and blush, as well as an equally velvety micro suede bomber jacket. The reviews – raving.

Here’s the inside scoop. Micro suede is a luxurious fabric made from microfiber materials that result in a velvety, suede-like finish. The great thing – it doesn’t collect lint like velvet or suede (important for us with furry friends), and it’s completely washable. It can be used in a variety of fashion pieces, but the best application must be these jogger, sportswear inspired shorts. The good news, since the rise of athleisure fashion, this style can be worn day or night.

A closeup of the material reveals its more-than-ample buttery texture. This style by David Lerner comes in a couple different colors. My recommendation – when something is this good, buy them in every color. Pressing the limits, this coordinating moto jacket is the ideal layer to take loungewear to streetwear in a matter of seconds. Note the silk cami layered underneath. Also a treasure courtesy of DL. This casual fashion statement is perfect for lazy days at home that require an occasional jaunt outdoors for some fresh air or a quick bite with friends.

You can easily see how this look can be interpreted for day or night by simply layering the jacket and boots over an otherwise completely relaxed style. With a minimalist mindset and a crazy fashion blogger lifestyle, comfort and versatility drive my wardrobe staples. These pieces have been perfect companions for impromptu coffee dates, grabbing the groceries or even just lounging around the house. Good fashion doesn’t always mean complicated fashion. Somedays, it’s better to relax. And thanks to David Lerner, you can lounge and look luxe with the newest micro suede styles.
