Sun’s out, we’re out! Welcome to one of my favorite weekend festivities, girls brunch. After a whirlwind of prepping with Marula for a day of fun, we landed at The Corner, bathing in summer’s light window-side after that sun got just a twinge too hot to stay outdoors. With summer schedules in full swing, it’s nearly impossible to get the whole squad together, but the four of us were happy to enjoy a short escape from the rush. Cherish your friends! They’re your support group, cheerleaders, confidants, and partners in crime – and I don’t know what I would do without them.

I must say, having a squad of super models can have it’s challenges ;) But one of the most fun parts of being girls is getting ready together for a night (or day) out on the town. Fully loaded with some incredible gift boxes from Marula, we spent the first moments of our reunion laughing over hair spray and curls in the works. Some may call it silly for girls to put so much fuss into a lazy weekend afternoon – we say it makes it all the more fun. After all, what’s Sunday funday without squad of gorgeous girls, chicken ‘n’ waffles, and endless mimosas?

The prep work: a combo of loose curls and daringly straight styles. For some extra drama, I also clipped in a few new extensions courtesy of Irresistible Me. The extensions give me about an extra 5″, and a lot of extra body for some seriously dramatic curls. Can you believe the look lasted over 7 hours of a scorching brunch in the sun? All of the credit goes to Rare Marula Oil serum, hairspray and that beautiful blonde bombshell below that helped me achieve these loose waves.

After prep, it was time to feast! Being many of our squad’s first time at The Corner, we indulged in a smorgasbord of their favorite brunch items including spinach quiche, fry flights, french toast and chicken ‘n’ waffles. (And more than a few rounds of mimosas). The vinegar malt dip was out of this world, and fresh fruit platters and bloodies provided our vitamin C for the day.

With such beautiful moments, we’re always reminded to be grateful in life for those precious moments we’re able to share with the people we love. You guys make my heart sing!
